We helped our friends at Paradiso Gardens debut their new brand at the 2017 Emerald Cup, a huge cannabis conference in California. We designed the brand, the packaging, the merch, and the booth from the ground up.
This is a glimpse into the assembly and final product. Major props to our friend Kent Richardson for fabrication and build out, and congrats to our partners at Paradiso for a successful brand launch!
”Spanish furniture designer Fernando Abellanas has carved out a new creative home in a section of Valencia that isn’t the typical artist neighborhood: he’s built a studio affixed to a highway underpass. The workspace is complete with a desk and chair, as well as shelves stocked with homey framed artworks and potted succulents―all attached to the highway’s cement framework.“
“Abellanas has a lifelong interest in refuges―locating peace and solitude in unexpected places, like under the dinner table as as a child, and now, hidden underneath the whir of traffic. The designer is also inspired by the way people with very limited resources use neglected spaces to create homes. The studio hasn’t been sanctioned by the city of Valencia, so its exact location is a secret, and it will remain intact for as long as Abellanas is able to keep it there.”

When TV Logos Were Physical Objects.
“It goes without saying that nearly everything made with graphic design and video software was once produced using a physical process, from newspapers to TV Logos. But some TV stations and film studios took things even further and designed physical logos that were filmed to create dynamic special effects. Arguably the most famous of which is MGM’s Leo the Lion which first appeared in 1916 and would go on to include 7 different lions over the decades.”

We stopped through the San Francisco airport recently and were blown away by their collection of Ouija boards.
